Andy Brynes - Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Andrew Brynes is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial activities of CarelonRx, ensuring they meet and exceed financial commitments based on sound financial strategy and long-term planning. Andy joined Elevance Health in 2020, bringing 25 years of broad strategic, financial, and operational leadership experience in healthcare and related industries to CarelonRx.

Prior to joining Elevance Health, Andy spent five years with the NYC-based investment firm, Loeb Enterprises, where he served as the Chief Financial Officer to several portfolio companies. He was responsible for financial reporting, strategic planning, corporate development, business analysis, capital raising, and broad financial management. Prior to this role, he was the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, where his responsibilities included enterprise strategy and building a portfolio of healthcare services and technology companies to drive profitable growth. Andy also brings critical pharmacy benefit management expertise to CarelonRx.

Andy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and his Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
